Lower Belly Fat

and How To Get Rid of It

Most adults in the world have some sort of lower belly fat that they would like to get rid of. Some have more than others, but it is essentially a “hot-button” topic for everyone. Some people try a mixture of programs and diets without any results. They usually just give up and go back to eating nachos on the couch. Surely there has to be a way to get rid of the spare tire and get the flat tummy of your dreams, right?

Actually there is. However, it’s not a magic pill or solution that will fix the problem overnight. So, what does it take to lose that stubborn belly fat? Let’s look at a few tips to get the body of your dreams.

1.Don’t waste your entire life on the treadmill.

This might sound like it goes against traditional thinking (and actually it does). However, this is one of the most important things you can realize. It’s not all about cardiovascular exercise when you’re trying to burn fat. Yes, it can help you burn fat and some people have had success with this method. However, the majority of people don’t have the willpower necessary to run for an hour or more every day for a long period of time. It’s hard and time consuming. Instead of jogging everyday, try getting involved in a sprinting workout. The short bursts of energy that you will use in sprinting will develop your muscles and burn a lot of calories. Think about when you watch the Olympics. Would you rather look like the ripped sprinter, or the frail, undefined marathon runner? Sprinting helps to develop muscle and burn lower belly fat faster than other forms of exercise.

2.    Hit the weights.

This doesn’t mean that you have to try to look like Arnold Schwarzenegger before he was the “Governator”. You can implement a strength weight training regimen that will tone and define your muscles. It will help to burn fat because your muscles will burn calories even when you’re resting. This increases your body’s effectiveness because it’s like you’re working out all the time.

3.    Put down the soda and donuts for breakfast.

While it may seem like a cliché, eating healthy food is paramount to getting rid of a fat belly. Fat tends to be stored first in your abdomen area. Therefore, if you’re always bringing in unhealthy calories and you’re not working them off, they’ll just build up around your stomach. This might sound like an obvious solution, but it will do wonders for your appearance.

4.    Find someone to keep you accountable.

When you go for something by yourself, the only thing keeping you from ending up back on the couch is your willpower. Sometimes, we don’t all have the necessary willpower to pull this off. This is why we could use someone to push us. Someone that knows your plan and can hold you accountable can really help get you through the tough times.

Regardless of what you decide to do to shed the pounds, I encourage you to stick with it. Many different workouts and plans will help, but the key is not giving up after two weeks. Hang in there, and the pounds will eventually come off.
